Anophony #4

$1,500.00
sold out

Performed outdoors on October 19, 2025, on Colonels Row, Governors Island, as part of the Third Saturdays series co-presented with the Climate Imaginarium, Anophony #4 captured the meeting of elemental force and artistic intent.

In this live work, Sestra Kuya — the multidisciplinary duo of Si Golraine and Gerry Gonzales — applied fluctuating electrical current directly onto a titanium sheet, generating shifting fields of color while routing the same voltage through modular synthesis to create sound. Electricity became both brush and instrument, its frequencies visible and audible in perfect simultaneity.

The final artwork consists of the original titanium painting and a single-edition vinyl record, pressed once from the live audio source. Together, they preserve a fleeting moment when atmosphere, current, and consciousness converged — a rare document of electricity made manifest as light and sound.

Materials and Dimensions: Electricity on titanium, 23 × 45 ×1 inches.
