ON THE EDGE OF THE INFINITE, NYC

In this performance, electricity and magnetism are translated directly into sound. As live voltage passes through titanium, Si Golraine paints with current itself, transforming electrical flow into shifting fields of color. Ryan DaWalt orchestrates magnetic force, shaping invisible fields in real time, while Gerry Gonzales channels raw voltage into evolving modular soundscapes. Invisible forces and unseen frequencies emerge as an active, ghostly presence — electricity not as metaphor, but as material.

The performance took place alongside works by David Temchulla, Inbar Hagai, Kat Ryals, and Peter Venuto, whose practices span neon text, virtual reality environments, opulent textile constructions, and holographic installations. Together, the artists proposed multiple modes of belief — trusting in invisible forces, drifting narratives, repurposed materials, and shared physical presence. On the Edge of the Infinite is an ongoing exhibition series dedicated to ephemeral art through light, sound, performance, and experience. On the Edge of the Infinite (9th Edition) Curated by Laura Horne, Steven Pestana, and Sophia Sobers
